Introduction:
The purpose of this document is to provide candidates with a clear understanding of the minimum height requirements for participating in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for Male GD Constable candidates.
Minimum Height:
The minimum height requirement for males is 160.5 cm (5'3") for a bare body measurement. This means that the candidate must be at least 5'3" tall when measured from the ground to the top of the head.
Measurement Methods:
The height measurement will be taken in two ways:
Standing: This measurement will be performed with the candidate standing upright, with their heels touching the ground.
Sitting: This measurement will be taken while the candidate is sitting on a chair with their heels flat on the floor.
Equivalents:
Candidates who are between 160.5 cm and 165 cm (5'3" and 5'9") may be considered for the PET with the following conditions:
They must be within 5 kg (11 lbs) of the minimum weight requirement for their body type.
They must be able to perform the physical exercises required for the PET with reasonable ease.
Examples:
A candidate with a height of 162 cm (5'4") is considered to meet the minimum height requirement.
A candidate with a height of 167 cm (5'6") is also considered to meet the minimum height requirement, but they may be required to complete additional fitness assessments if they exceed 165 cm in standing height.
Conclusion:
Possessing the minimum height is crucial for Male GD Constable candidates to be able to participate in the PET with sufficient physical fitness to complete the required tasks. Failure to meet the minimum height requirement may result in disqualification, even if the candidate meets other eligibility criteria.
Remember, these guidelines are indicative and may vary depending on specific PET regulations and guidelines. For detailed and updated information regarding the PET and its requirements, candidates should refer to the official notification or contact the relevant authorities
