Meter Bridge
A meter bridge is a circuit used to isolate a section of a larger circuit and measure the current flowing through that section. It consists of two identical resistors connected back-to-back and connected to the main circuit through a variable resistor called the meter.
The variable resistor acts as a variable resistance that can be adjusted by changing the connection between the two resistors. By adjusting the resistance of the variable resistor, the current flowing through the main circuit can be controlled.
Using a meter bridge, an electrician can measure the current flowing through a circuit by connecting the variable resistor between the two resistors and adjusting the resistance. This allows the electrician to determine the resistance of the circuit and calculate the current flowing through it.
Meter bridges are used in various applications, including testing electrical equipment, troubleshooting electrical circuits, and measuring current in circuits
