Lines and Angles
A line is a path that continues indefinitely in one direction. It can be drawn on paper using a pencil or other drawing tool. A line can also be defined in terms of its slope and y-intercept.
Slope
The slope of a line is a measure of how steep it is. A line with a positive slope has a steep slope, while a line with a negative slope has a shallow slope.
Y-intercept
The y-intercept of a line is the point where it intersects the y-axis. The y-intercept can be found by setting x = 0 in the equation of the line.
Examples
A line from point A(2, 4) to point B(6, 8) is represented by the equation y = 2x + 4.
The line through points C(3, 9) and D(5, 7) is perpendicular to the line through points E(1, 3) and F(3, 5).
The slope of the line passing through points A(3, 1) and B(5, 3) is 1
