An angle is a measure of the angle formed between two rays of light or two lines that intersect. It is typically measured in degrees, minutes, and seconds.
An angle can be formed between two points in a plane, or between a point in a plane and the circumference of a circle. The degree measure of an angle is defined as the ratio of the angle measure divided by 360. For example, if an angle measures 60 degrees, the angle measure is 60/360 = 0.167.
Angles can be added or subtracted to find the total angle of a figure. For example, if two angles measure 30 degrees each, the angle formed between them will measure 60 degrees.
Angles are used in a variety of mathematical and real-world applications, such as calculating the area of a polygon, finding the area of a circle, and determining the angle of a projectile
