The urinary system is a complex network of organs responsible for filtering and eliminating waste products from the body. It comprises the kidneys, bladder, urethra, and reproductive organs.
The kidneys are two bean-shaped organs located on either side of the spine. Each kidney is about the size of a fist and consists of an outer cortex, an inner medulla, and a central cavity called the renal pelvis. The renal pelvis collects urine from the cortex and sends it to the bladder through the ureters.
The bladder is a muscular organ located on the back. It stores urine until it is eliminated through the urethra. The urethra is a tube that carries urine from the bladder to the outside of the body.
The urinary system is responsible for maintaining the body's water balance, electrolyte levels, and waste removal. It also helps to regulate blood pressure and fluid balance
