How it works:
The motor is connected to a voltage source through a contactor.
The voltage is stepped down to a lower level using a transformer.
A star network is connected to the secondary winding of the transformer.
The star connection provides a balanced three-phase current to the motor, reducing current and voltage drops.
The motor controller applies a high voltage to the motor's field winding, triggering a current to flow.
As the current increases, the rotor windings begin to rotate, and the motor starts to accelerate.
Once the motor reaches a set speed, the voltage is slowly increased to the rated value.
