Arc Length
An arc length is the length of a portion of a circle or curved path. It can be measured along the circumference of the curved path, or along any other path that is tangent to the original path.
In geometry, the arc length of a curve is the total length of all the segments of the curve between any two given points. It is measured in units such as meters, centimeters, or miles, depending on the scale of the measurement.
Examples:
The arc length of a circle with radius 5 is 25, since the circumference of a circle is 2πr, where r is the radius.
The arc length of a portion of a parabola between points A(0, 4) and B(8, 16) is 16, since the length of the arc between these two points is equal to the difference between the distances from A to each endpoint of the arc.
The arc length of a spiral path can be found by calculating the total length of all the segments of the spiral, regardless of how many revolutions it makes
