The nervous system is a complex network of nerve cells and tissues that enables the body to receive, process, and respond to information from the external world and internal environment.
The nervous system is divided into two main parts: the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS). The CNS consists of the brain and spinal cord, which control the body's thoughts, feelings, and movements. The PNS consists of nerves that connect the CNS to the rest of the body.
The nervous system can be divided into two major divisions based on its function:
Sensory system: The sensory system allows us to receive and interpret information from the external world, including touch, taste, smell, and hearing.
Motor system: The motor system allows us to control our muscles and organs, including movement, breathing, and digestion.
The nervous system is responsible for coordinating these functions and ensuring that they work together seamlessly
