Atmosphere: Layers, Winds and Pressure

Layers:
Troposphere: The troposphere is the lowest layer of the atmosphere and is characterized by warm temperatures and high air pressure. It is the layer where weather occurs, and it is home to most of the air we breathe.
Stratosphere: The stratosphere is the middle layer of the atmosphere and is characterized by lower temperatures and higher air pressure. It is the layer where the ozone layer is located, which protects us from harmful ultraviolet radiation from the sun.
