Phase 1: Expansion

Phase 2: Peak
At the peak of the business cycle, economic growth reaches its highest level.
The economy reaches its peak employment level and inflation reaches its lowest level.

Phase 3: Contraction
The contraction phase begins when the economy experiences a decline in economic growth.
