Work and Power Concept#
Work is the total amount of mechanical energy transferred to or by an object during a force applied to the object. It is expressed in joules (J) and is a scalar quantity.
Power is the rate at which work is done. It is expressed in watts (W) and is a scalar quantity. Power tells us how quickly work is being done or how much energy is being transferred per unit of time.
Relationship between Work, Power, and Energy:
- Work done is equal to the product of the force applied to an object and the distance moved by the object.

- Power is equal to the rate of work done, meaning the rate at which work is being done.

- Energy is the total amount of mechanical energy possessed by an object, and work done is a change in energy.

Examples:
- Example 1: A force of 10 N is applied to a body, moving it 5 m. The work done is 50 J.

- Example 2: A power of 5 W is transferred to an object in 2 seconds. The work done in 2 seconds is 10 J.
