Wheatstone Bridge:
The Wheatstone bridge is an essential component in the study of current and voltage. It allows us to isolate and read the resistance of a component in a circuit. In simpler terms, it acts as a voltage divider.
Imagine two resistors connected in a circuit, with a variable resistor placed in between. When a voltage is applied to the circuit, the variable resistor will adjust its resistance to maintain the same voltage across itself and the other resistor. The Wheatstone bridge uses a null adjuster to determine the value of the resistance of the unknown resistor.
Meter Bridge:
The Wheatstone bridge can also be used to measure the resistance of an unknown resistor by comparing it to a known resistor. This is done by adjusting the resistance of the known resistor until the Wheatstone bridge reads the same resistance as the unknown resistor.
