BODMAS, standing for Brackets, Order, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction, is a set of order instructions used to simplify mathematical expressions. BODMAS applies to both addition and subtraction problems.
Fraction-to-percent allows us to convert a fraction into a percentage. To do this:
Find the whole number component: Divide the numerator by the denominator.
Convert the quotient to a percentage: Divide the whole number component by 100.
Multiply the fraction by 100 to express it as a percentage.
Example:
Let's say we have the following fraction:
3/4
BODMAS:
Brackets: 3 + 4 = 7
Order: Divide 7 by 4, resulting in 1.75
Division: Divide 1.75 by 100, resulting in 0.0175
Multiplication: Multiply 0.0175 by 100, resulting in 1.75
Therefore, 3/4 = 1.75 when expressed as a percentage
